With the Fall/Winter 2009/2010 men’s collection, Dolce & Gabbana goes back to the origins of the
brand with a black and white portrait of Sicily, revisiting all the hues from Baroque to Neorealism
to aristocracy.
There’s a willingness and need for profound and binding ties. This is reflected in a renewed interest
towards traditional values and craftsmanship; giving a ritual meaning to the act of hand-making.
Symbol of this particular and new mood, the hand-intertwined finale jackets stand for a deeper link
between men and their own roots, their own land and family.
Fabrics and Materials
Velvet or corduroy or jacquard, moiret silk and boiled-wool cloth.
Stripes and ‘Prince of Wales’ patterns.
Quilted satin, twill weave, cashmere, floccato silks, faille and wool jacquard fabrics.
Crocodile or shiny leather
Colours
Black, blue, brown and grey.
Touches of pale and bright pink or fuchsia.
